Bowen Replaces Injured Kopra

NASA selected astronaut Steve Bowen as a mission specialist on STS-133, the next space shuttle mission. Bowen replaces astronaut Tim Kopra, who was injured in a bicycle accident. The crew change should not affect the mission's target launch date.

A veteran of two shuttle missions, STS-126 in 2008 and STS-132 in 2010, Bowen has logged more than 27 days in space, including 34 hours and 30 minutes during five spacewalks.
