Nasa’s next space shuttle mission has been thrown into chaos after one of its crew broke his hip in a cycling accident.
Timothy Kopra, 47, was earmarked as the lead spacewalker on his mission to the International Space Station on February 24.
But Kopra, who does not have an “understudy” for the flight, smashed his hip five weeks before lift-off.
